Calypso travels daily to three sites on the outer Great Barrier Reef. Visit spectacular reefs and beautiful coral bombies. Snorkel and dive amongst the amazing marine life. Their fast, stable and comfortable boats all have large deck areas and spacious saloons - plenty of room to stretch out and relax on your voyage to the reef. The vessels have wide stern decks and submersible platforms provide easy access for getting in and out of the water.
The maximum number of passengers carried on each cruise is only 52 passengers. Activities available onboard include snorkelling, introductory SCUBA diving and certified diving or just relaxing onboard.

Snorkelling:
Snorkel the Great Barrier Reef with Calypso Reef Charters, Port Douglas, Australia. Enjoy the wonders of the largest coral reef in the world, snorkelling at three different sites on the outer Great Barrier Reef. The experienced crew will provide friendly and professional service, including snorkelling tuition, a guided snorkel tour and interpretive reef talk. The snorkel groups are small and personalised. All professional supervision and tuition are provided, with a comprehensive snorkelling safety brief and guided snorkel tour. Flotation devices and in water assistance are available for all snorkellers. Even if you have never snorkelled before, the crew will assist any nervous snorkellers and non-swimmers, to ensure that they are happy and comfortable snorkelling in the water. Introductory Diving:
No experience is necessary to SCUBA dive. While travelling on Calypso to the reef, your PADI Dive Instructor will take you through a Discover Scuba Diving Brief highlighting all safety procedures and skills. Once at the reef you will practice your skills both on the boat and in the water before being taken on a 30-40 minute dive with your Instructor to explore spectacular coral reefs with abundant marine life.
Certified Divers: For certified divers we have a great selection of sites where our professional PADI Dive Instructors and Dive Masters will guide you in small groups. Our dive gear includes dive computers and large tanks. You can participate in up to three spectacular dives in one day!
