The Cruise
HABA has undertaken to provide you with the ultimate reef experience. In doing the day has been designed around two magnificent Reef sites. Visiting two sites allows you a much less structured day providing more time to relax, snorkel or simply do it all. By keeping the passenger numbers small you can be guaranteed a friendly crew, who will provide the most personalized service available. They will look after your individual needs and will be pleased to have the opportunity to do so. The day is yours to enjoy in paradise.
Your day begins with courtesy coach transfer from your accommodation to the Marina Mirage. Coffee, tea and muffins are available on board upon your arrival and during the Safety Briefing.
Departure for the Great Barrier Reef is 08:30am with a little over an hour travel time. The rest of the day is yours for snorkelling, diving or simply relaxing right on the Outer Reef. All water sports create an appetite and a day on the Reef would not be the same without a delicious, fresh Tropical Buffet lunch. Following lunch a Reef Brief will commence on the top deck during which a Marine Biologist will explain to you the corals, fish and ecology of the Great Barrier Reef environment.
Afterwards you’ll move on to a second unique location where you carry on with your water activities or simply relax onboard the spacious and comfortable vessel. The afternoon site brings with it the opportunity to participate in a Guided Snorkel Tour where the information discussed in the Reef Brief is brought to life before your eyes.
Following Afternoon Tea it’s time to depart the Reef for arrival back in Port Douglas at approximately 04:00pm for your transfer to your accommodation or an afternoon shop in Marina Mirage.
