Enjoy a day visiting Kuranda and touring the Tropical Tablelands. Combine the Kuranda Scenic Train and Skyrail Cableway with a coach tour of the scenic Tablelands and travel on the best value-for-money day tour in Tropical North Queensland!
You will be collected from Cairns accommodation and transferred to the Cairns Central Railway Station for boarding the Kuranda Scenic Train to carry you up and through the mountains to the quaint village of Kuranda. Enjoy 1¾ hours free time in the village, stop for a bite to eat at one of the many local eateries or enjoy sightseeing in and around the village, there are a host of local attractions including; Birdworld, the Butterfly Sanctuary as well as the famous Kuranda markets. Take the rainforest cableway, Skyrail, from Kuranda Village to Caravonica Station and enjoy the awe-inspiring views en-route. Skyrail has two stops along the way, friendly Skyrail staff will help you disembark and re-board as you travel.
Beyond Kuranda, your experienced guide will show you the amazing Tableland. An elevated plateau of diverse beauty, contrasting scenery, fertile farmlands and boutique wineries.

In the afternoon you will enjoy a visit to Granite Gorge where past volcanic activity has pushed up huge granite boulders – home to many unusual native animals. There’s time for a quick dip in the swimming holes, or to get up close for viewing the native rock wallabies or a walk through stone wilderness!
