The Tour
Your balloon gently floats above the tips of blue gums and paper bark trees, with the wide open spaces of the Tablelands below with fantastic 360 degree views. Your Hot Air pilot is very experience and trained to Australia's highest standards, so sit back and enjoy the freedom of balloon flying while he looks after your safe and gentle ride. Keep an eye out for kangaroos and some of our unique local wildlife as you go. Binoculars are on board to capture sightings of local birdlife too. Come back to earth gently then continue the fun by helping us pack up. After ballooning you will be transferred back into Cairns to the Reef Fleet Terminal to board the Big Cat to Green Island. You will arrive at Green Island at approximately 11.45am – included in your package wick be a choice of Glass Bottom Boat Tour or Snorkelling Equipment. You will have approximately 4 hours free time to enjoy and explore Green Island, purchase lunch, visit the Marine Land Melanesia Crocodile Farm and Aquarium or just laze around on the sandy white beaches and swim in crystal clear turquoise waters of the Great Barrier Reef. Boarding for your return ferry from Green Island at 4.15pm it is time to return to Cairns. A coach will be waiting at the Reef Fleet Terminal to return you back to your accommodation.

An early morning pick-up from your hotel by a Hot Air Cairns coach for your special package tour. (Approximately one hour from cairns, one hour transfer, pickup times confirmed on booking.
6.30 am

We fly at Mareeba in the Cairns Highlands (previously called the Atherton Tablelands) Enjoy the picturesque landscape at sunrise, enjoy 30 minutes flying time. Breathe in the wide-open spaces! We have Australia’s largest fleet of balloons and a fun and highly trained crew to maximise the fun of your morning.

Return and Landing, balloon pack-up and lots of laughs.
8.30 am
Come down to earth and enjoy breakfast & champagne, fresh juices, eggs & bacon, tropical fruits & a hot and cold buffet is all yours as you relax in our open air restaurant and have a browse at the selection of Cairns' souvenirs.
10.30 am
Check-in with Big Cat Green Island Cruises check-in counter at Cairns' Reef Fleet Terminal.
11.00 am
Big Cat high speed catamaran departs for 45 Green Island with Big Cat Green Island Cruises.
11.45 am
Arrive at Green Island to explore the Great Barrier Reef and relax on the island. Choose from either snorkelling equipment or glass bottom boat. Lunch is by own arrangements, Big Cat have buffet lunch available on board their boat from approx AU$15.00 per person or you may purchase food from the resort’s lunch restaurant
4.15 pm
Big Cat departs promptly from Green Island at this time so it is best to be at the Jetty at least 10 minutes prior to departure
5.30 pm
Arrive back in Cairns, transfers provided back to your accommodation.
