The Tour
Your balloon gently floats above the tips of blue gums and paper bark trees, with the wide open spaces of the Tablelands below with fantastic 360 degree views. Your Hot Air pilot is very experience and trained to Australia's highest standards, so sit back and enjoy the freedom of balloon flying while he looks after your safe and gentle ride. Keep an eye out for kangaroos and some of our unique local wildlife as you go. Binoculars are on board to capture sightings of local birdlife too. Come back to earth gently then continue the fun by helping us pack up. After ballooning you will be transferred back into Cairns to accommodation for a short break before being picked up to commence your rafting tour. Only 20 minutes from the centre of Cairns, the Barron River is a fantastic introduction to White Water Rafting. The Barron River offers guaranteed water levels all-year-round and what’s more; no experience is necessary to raft these Grade 2 & 3 rapids! Fully trained guides will give you all the tuition and equipment needed for this exciting afternoon of white water rafting!
Itinerary

Pick-up at hotel by a Hot Air Cairns coach for your special package tour, one hour transfer, pickup times confirmed on booking.
6.30 am
Experience the fun & unique sensation of hot air ballooning in the Atherton Tablelands, Australia. We fly at Mareeba in the Cairns Highlands (previously called the Atherton Tablelands) Enjoy the picturesque landscape at sunrise, enjoy 30 minutes flying time. Breathe in the wide-open spaces! We have Australias largest fleet of balloons and a fun and highly trained crew to maximise the fun of your morning.
8.00 am
Return and Landing, balloon pack-up and lots of laughs.
8.30 am
Come down to earth and enjoy breakfast & champagne, fresh juices, eggs & bacon, tropical fruits & a hot and cold buffet is all yours as you relax in our open air restaurant and have a browse at the selection of Cairns' souvenirs.

Return back to Hotel by Hot Air Coach
2.00 pm (Approx)
Your experienced whitewater rafting River Guide will pick you up from hotel and transfer you to the top of the Barron River (Grade 3) just 20 minutes away.
2.30 pm
Arrive at Barron Gorge Power Station. Split up into crews for briefing. You'll spend a bit over one and a half hours on the river, its a grade 3 river, great as an introductory experience and for those looking for a shorter rafting trip than the full day Tully
5.00 pm
Finish off whitewater rafting trip with return transfers on Rafting coach to your accommodation, or other places around town. Just let the driver know where you would like to go.
