Locations such as Thetford, Moore and Briggs Reef are specially selected for the abundant marine life and spectacular coral formations. Enjoy these pristine sites not visited by the masses at your own pace.
Nature sets the perfect scene for snorkelling and diving. Whether you choose to dive, snorkel, or stay dry, you will marvel at the spectacle that is the Great Barrier Reef. Quality equipment is supplied with free tuition for snorkellers. Introductory scuba dives, dive packages, night dives and advanced courses are all available.
The Santa Maria - This boat combines the unforgettable opportunity to see one of the Great Wonders of the World with the charm of sailing aboard a traditional styled wooden vessel. Santa Maria's beautiful lines are reminiscent of gaff-rigged schooners of earlier times. She is 64' long with a beam of 17' providing a very comfortable cruise with ample deck space to relax. Join in and enjoy the unique experience of nostalgia, adventure and romance
Santa Maria Itinerary
Day 1
On boarding enjoy a light breakfast and as you make your way to depart for the Great Barrier Reef. Morning tea will be served whilst sailing out to the first reef location.
Arrive at the Reef - Time for the breathtaking underwater scenery. Enjoy snorkeling, diving and lunch. Afternoon Tea is time to take a break between scuba diving, snorkeling or sunbathing onboard. At dinner, relax while the evening meal is served on deck with the reef and sunset in the background.
Day 2
Wake Up on the reef and enjoy fresh coffee or tea and a morning swim, snorkel or dive. Up anchor and depart for the next reef location, specially selected by the vessel’s experienced crew.
A full breakfast is served and then it is time to resume snorkeling, diving or perhaps just lazing around the deck in the sun. After moving to another reef location, lunch is served and another wonderful experience awaits you. Late afternoon Tea is served and you will enjoy a small break between diving, snorkeling, sunbathing or relaxing. At the end of the day it’s time to enjoy another fantastic meal with the romantic setting of the sunset and reef.
Day 3
Wake Up on the reef and enjoy fresh coffee or tea and a morning swim, snorkel or dive. Depart for another reef location, once again specially selected by your experienced crew. A breakfast is served and then you can enjoy the in water activities or just laze around the deck. Lunch is served onboard for the final day. By mid afternoon you will depart from the reef; 'Hoist the Sails' and join in the sailing as you head home to Cairns.
